Akashic
I couldn’t find the bodies
in the desert, or the black-
veiled woman’s lost child,
but I wrote down
coordinates upon waking
There aren’t points to much,
but there are still
mountains immovable,
and pain in my leg
that reminds me of you
How many databases
hold my image? Are your
filthy fingers keeper
of the gate? There’s a
baby that looks like me
alongside an old woman
I’m trying to become
There’s an in-between
feeling I don’t want
to hang onto but
it’s the place where
breathing is allowed
I couldn’t lead you
to the burial mounds,
but that wispy woman
caught you in a web,
swallowed you like
a nuisance, a fly
that never stood
a chance
She’s barren now
and nurses a bothersome
empty
You’re alchemically married
now because you just had
to touch her face
as she tried to turn away
What’s a journey
without stellar sustenance?
Star swallowers are
the best guides
Beware what you’ll find
in the diseased desert
Avoid the gleaming water
of the reflecting pool
Drink of me–of thyself–
this nectar, this holiest
of oils divine

A powerful poem with dream, fantasy and mythical elements to it, but at the same time your skill as a writer makes it emotionally relatable and exciting! And the poem has great lyricism too!
