According
fringes of cerulean, borderland auras
of celestial messaging, the clarity
of confusion, this is meaningful
& will strike like lightning
at survival’s edge
enlightenment begins in the mundane,
the life & death balance, its delicate
uncertainty, a viper in the dusk light
or a sunbeam after rain, hope & fear
coincide instead of grappling
for host control, a coexistence
births a new cocoon, a shell
cracking where a true spirit
sparks through
keep to the dark, there is
beauty in the blessed secrets
what is not worn on the sleeve,
on the pale face, on the surface
of the eye, a galaxy of inconsistencies
that find a miraculous order
once released in shuddering tears
some cords desire to be bound
tighter, some anchors prevent
us from floating too far away
the sky is falling & it was once
so sheltering, so protective,
so mysterious — until we pierced
through it, veiled the old world
in transformative adages
what has been has already
dug its roots into a flesh plane,
thorned a heart with an
impenetrable wall
& the valiant climb it,
fight dragons that are created
out of the fear of sin
cross over, loosen the molecules
& fill your crevices with crystal water,
an everyday purity thirsted for
after being caught in electrical-
dominant webs
we are shocked into submission
by our own inventions, enslaved
by silicon idols, our faith
in the unseen shrunken to
a weak signal — No more!
the gadget dependent
unplug their ports to gaze
skyward again,
their necks crackling
like a newborn fire,
their eyes shining
with the joy of release
