No, I cannot show you my wounds because I’ve lost too many people already…

blue bulb
gives these walls
an icy glow

last night I dreamed
of melting faces

is the earth
breathing without difficulty yet?

I had to let go
of a life I planned for me

prices paid,
empty pockets
& callused hands

my wrath
drains crimson
down the bath

what pain looks like
but only to those
who allow themselves to feel it
