10. He Holds Me Through It
still we love, even the pains
that tear us apart from each other
because they are our shared present
a choice questioned is silenced
by the sweetest kiss,
& for this I am grateful
my trembling sobs reconnect
our souls, shine a candle
through the window on true devotion
we are never alone in the darkness;
the arms that hold me are a promise,
the eyes that reassure me are divine
